Management and supervision

TESO management consists of a Supervisory Board and the Executive Board consisting of one managing director. As a Dutch public limited company TESO falls under the legal regime for two-tier companies.  The Supervisory Board comprising a total of five members, supervises and advises the Executive Board. The members of the Supervisory Board are appointed by the 3,100 shareholders, the majority of whom live on the island and use the ferry service themselves.

During the annual General Shareholders Meeting the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board are held accountable for their management. They inform the shareholders about the company development, and shareholders can raise specific issues as well.
The Executive Board manages the staff that deals with the ferry connection and all matters associated: operational tasks, technicals tasks, hospitality and administration.
