Parking in Den Helder
Short-stay or long-stay parking is available close to the ferry terminal. To access the parking areas, follow the signs for “P Texel”, “Afhalen + Wegbrengen”.
Please note that there are only a limited number of parking spaces. These can fill up quickly, especially during the summer months. The parking area is not supervised. The route to the ferry for pedestrians and cyclists is next to the parking area. If you have not bought a ticket in advance, you can do so at the ticket desk or at a ticket machine.
If there are no parking spaces available at the ferry terminal, you can park your car free of charge close to the terminal at Willemsoord P3. This parking facility is located at 10 minutes’ walking distance from the entrance for pedestrians and cyclists.
Travelling to Den Helder ferry terminal by public transport
The ferry terminal in Den Helder is easily accessible by public transport. Take bus 33 from Den Helder railway station. The bus stops at the main entrance to the ferry for pedestrians and cyclists. If you have not bought a ticket in advance, you can do so at the ticket desk or at a ticket machine.
Bus 33 also runs from the ferry terminal back to Den Helder railway station. When disembarking, follow the signs to the bus. Please note: The bus does not leave from the main terminal entrance. The bus departs once an hour, providing a connecting service with the ferry.
APlease note: The bus stop for departure is not located at the same place as the arrival bus stop. The bus will leave immediately after arrival of the ferry.

Food and drinks in the ferry terminal
In the ferry terminal, kiosk Bij de Boot sells snacks, drinks and newspapers. The staff will be happy to serve you a good cup of coffee and a wide range of drinks, snacks, ice cream and filled rolls.
You can have a seat inside or outside on the roof terrace. The kiosk in Den Helder is open from the first till the last crossing.
At the kiosk you can pay by card. We prefer payment by card. If you can only pay in cash, it is preferable to pay in exact change.
Waiting area in the terminal
In the main terminal you will find a covered waiting area where you can wait for the next crossing. You will also find the toilets there. Wi-Fi is freely available.
